GREETINGS FROM OUR PRESIDENT

Welcome to the West Long Beach Association Webpage.  We hope the information contained herein will familiarize you with our organization and the services we provide to our community.

The WLBA was founded in 1979 by Westside Residents and Merchants concerned with the improvement of Life conditions in this most Westerly Area of our city.  We seek to provide an advocate voice for our community on a wide range of issues and look for solutions that benefit our Westside residents and merchants. 

Recently our association was instrumental in correcting a flooding condition which persisted for the last 20 years, saturating neighborhood homes in the northwest section of the Westside.  Just last March we were able to celebrate a long awaited community benefit with the Opening of Admiral Kidd Park and a new skateboard center at Silverado Park.

We are a vibrant ethnically rich community with a diverse international flair of residents, found nowhere else in the city.  Our membership reflects this very quality, making our experience unique among communities in Long Beach. 

If you are a resident of West Long Beach, I invite you to join us as we continue to move ahead in our mission of community improvement.  I urge you to reach out to your neighbors, make  friends and share ideas for improving our neighborhoods.

Come visit us often as continue to grow our website and add information about upcomming activities, events and information pertaining to the issues and concerns of our community.

Whether you rent a house or apartment, own property or run a business, you need a voice, an advocate, a support group that is willing to step up and help you make your wishes heard where it will do the most good. Together, as a community, we can make a difference in our neighborhood! Be active, become a member, come to our meetings, reach out to your neighbors and have a voice.
